Let me summarize the out come of our brief meeting today.

A) Our first strategy is to compose a questionnaire and to send it by email to the people from our Knowledge Creation seminar, plus additional people whom we know and who is related to science.

These are our preliminary questions:
1) What are your scientific discipline? How long have you been working in science?
2) What does scientific progress mean to you?
3) How do you personally progress scientifically?
4) Do you have any scientific paradigm/ patterns? Do you aware of the paradigms/patterns existing in your scientific field?
4) Have you ever had doubts about your paradigm? Have you ever had intention to question a paradigm?
5) What is your scientific motivation?

B) Our second strategy is to conduct Generative Interviews with at least two people who are already established scientists. We still have to decide and discuss whom to interview and what kind of questions to ask.

Conclusions:

The strategy looks fine for me. I think we should think a bit more about questions for the questionnaire and send it out as soon as possible.
The interviews we will try to do also by the end of the coming week.

What about changing Question #2 to the following questions:

Do you see a progress in your scientific research?
Do you consider your personal progress to be important for the general progress of science?
